Farming God’s Way is a biblically based way of farming that equips farmers for an abundant life in Christ!  It is an amazing Godly solution to the food security and poverty crisis for people in impoverished countries.  Farming God’s Way is a well-balanced biblical, management and technological solution for agriculture. It equips farmers to come out of poverty with what God has put in their hands and reveals the fullness of His promised abundant life!

On our recent trip to Uganda, we were fortunate to visit a Farming God’s Way training farm where we saw these farming practices being used.  The results were very impressive, and everyone left there very excited about the potential to teach these biblical and agriculture practices in the local villages.  Hosea 4:6 says, “My people perish because of a lack of knowledge.” We firmly believe that God can and will use Farming God’s Way to change the hearts and lives of the poor people of Uganda!

Farming God’s Way has a proven track record of success since 1984 when these practices were pioneered in Zimbabwe, South Africa.  Since those early days, Farming God’s Way has spread into many countries, being used by churches, missionaries, and NGOs across the continent.  Farming Gods Way is a free gift given to the wider body of Christ and is a non-denominational, non-organizational, relational network of people, who share a heartfelt consideration for the poor.

Farming God’s Way is built around six Biblical Keys and three Management Keys that include 1. Farming On Time, 2. Farming to High Standards and 3. Farming with Minimal Waste.  A few of the production practices include precision placement of planting stations for seed placement and fertilizer.  Applying a layer of mulch (God’s Blanket) across the field to prevent soil erosion, retain soil moisture during the dry periods and to help with weed control.  Making high quality compost to use for fertilizer and using wood ash instead of lime.

Even though the pandemic continues around the world, God’s power and love are unstoppable. In Honduras and Uganda, God continues to meet needs and spread the gospel. Communities are being fed, water is being shared, medical care is being given, but most importantly people of all ages are coming to know that Jesus is the hope of the world! We are humbled that God has allowed us to serve and are excited to see what the rest of this year brings in Him!

Water is such an important part of many cultures and communities. It provides for the whole community and serves as a general gathering place.  The water gives life to the people, their animals and their crops. We so take it for granted each time we turn on a faucet and get a drink. Think of how many faucets or spigots you have at your home---in the kitchen, your refrigerator door, your bathroom sinks, tubs and showers (toilets too!). And that's just inside. You probably have multiple outdoor taps as well.  I would even bet that somewhere on your street there is a fire hydrant.

Much of the world doesn't have this luxury. They don't have access to healthy, clean water.  By improving the water, communities can be healthier and better fed by crops that can grow with irrigation.  A simple salt-based purification system can heal their water.

Our prayer is that by improving their water, we hope to bring them to the one who is the LIVING WATER. Once they know Him, they'll never be thirsty again! What a wonderful thought!

It reminds us of the story in 2 Kings 2:19-21

The people of the city said to Elisha, “Look, our lord, this town is well situated, as you can see, but the water is bad and the land is unproductive.”  “Bring me a new bowl,” he said, “and put salt in it.” So they brought it to him. Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying, “This is what the Lord says: ‘I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.’” And the water has remained pure to this day, according to the word Elisha had spoken.

Our focus from the beginning was to DO mission ministry.  We wanted to keep our overhead low so we could use the funds that God sent for actually doing the mission and helping our partners in the field.  With the growth and interest we have experienced, we now feel we need to use this tool to better communicate with our donor team and to have a reference point for those who want to know about the ministry.  So WELCOME to our new website!! We're glad you're here!  Please be patient with us as we bring things up to date while still moving full steam ahead with all that God is askiing us to do in Honduras and in Uganda. We are so grateful and overwhelmed with God's provision!
