Leading missions as God leads.
From the beginning, the Gospel has been the focus of In His Name.

Our mission is to share Jesus by being his hands and feet wherever God leads.

In 2012, Greg and Cheryl Leathers led their first medical / sports mission with their church to Honduras. That’s all it took. They knew God was leading them to missions.

In the following years, they have led teams to Honduras that served with medical clinics, dentistry, eyeglasses, water purification systems, Bible school/study, leadership training and work teams.
In 2017, Cheryl retired from 37 years of nursing at Norton Healthcare in Louisville, KY. That same year, Lifeline Christian Mission approached Greg and Cheryl to coordinate teams from across the U.S. in Honduras for them.

They heard this as God’s calling so In His Name Ministry began as a 501(c )(3) non-profit ministry. 

In 2018, Greg retired from Louisville Gas & Electric after 38 years to minister with IHN full time.

Along with Lifeline, IHN has also partnered with Commission Encounter leading teams to minister to children in Honduras who were dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Recently, IHN has also formed a partnership with Passion Christian Mission in Uganda.

Past Trips

2012-2021:

HONDURAS:  Coordinated multiple teams from the U.S. for Lifeline Christian Missions and for their church.
 
UGANDA:  January'21 Scouting trip to Passion Christian Ministry about partnership.  
September'21  Farming God's Way, water  purification and Malnutrition Ministry.

2022-2023:

HONDURAS:  March '22 & April '23: 
Medical, Eyeglasses, Dental, Teaching.

UGANDA:  August '22, February & August'23: 

Medical, Eyeglass and Malnutirion Clinics, Farming God's Way,  water purification, Teaching.

2024:

HONDURAS:  March '24- Medical, Eyeglasses, Teaching, Dental.


Trip Info and Updates

Kampala, Uganda August 30 – September 12, 2021

We're back from Uganda! Four of the previous IHN scouting team members traveled to Uganda where they installed a much needed water purification system at the school. There was follow up on the agriculture outreach program and we are thankful to say the crops are the best ever. The farmers are implementing the "Farming God's Way" method of planting. We were also able to do planning  for sending a team in 2022 which will include agriculture, water, medical, dental and eyeglasses along with other areas of ministry.

San Pedro Sula, Honduras March 2022

IHN coordinated a group trip to Honduras through Lifeline Christian Missions. This trip included a medical team as well as bible study and the Gospel. 

Kampala, Uganda AUGUST 2022  

This was our first full IHN Mission Team to Uganda! This trip had various areas of service including Medical / Dental /Eyeglasses /Malnutrition Clinics, Farming God's Way, water purification and teaching.
